Tough act to follow..
It was a real privilege meeting FFI's Tuy Sereivathana, who was recently awarded the Goldman Environmental Prize for his work addressing human-elephant conflict in Cambodia.
I introduced him to Nanook in Green Park after his meeting with president Obama in Washington. Vathana, also known as "Uncle Elephant", was one of the first Cambodian ambassadors to meet the president. He hopes that this will help draw attention to the plight of the endangered Asian elephant, within the US and around the world.
